Challenge
As part of its company-wide transformation, GETEC is pursuing a clear vision: to efficiently combine growth, structure, and innovation. This transformation offers the opportunity to rethink processes – with a focus on transparency, speed, and governance. The customer faces two core tasks: optimizing the existing IT landscape using the TIME approach (Tolerate, Invest, Migrate, Eliminate), and introducing new technologies in a way that aligns with the IT architecture vision while meeting requirements for data protection, IT security, compliance, and procurement. The goal is to build structures that grow alongside GETEC’s ongoing transformation.
Solution
As part of the rollout of IT Demand Management 2.0, GETEC relies on an end-to-end, integrated process chain – with Stackgini as the central platform behind it. From the initial demand through IT governance, enterprise architecture, and compliance to collaboration with vendors: Stackgini connects all stakeholders, tools, and information in one consistent workflow.
IT demands are captured in a structured way, prioritized, and centrally coordinated in Stackgini through the integration of Jira and LeanIX. Stackgini thus serves as a central solution where AI handles content-related tasks, documents decisions, and ensures full transparency.
By leveraging AI and integrating systems like LeanIX and Jira, a scalable process for modern IT demand management is created.
Results
Within just four months, GETEC was able to realize significant added value: over 855 hours of internal effort were saved, and the ROI reached 365 percent. More than 40 demands were successfully managed via the EA board, initial standardizations were established, and the entire demand handling process was significantly accelerated.
Thanks to the structured capturing, prioritization, and coordination of requirements in Stackgini, GETEC now makes well-founded decisions faster and in alignment with the strategic IT vision.
Significant progress was also made in data quality for the IT inventory: within just one week, the global IT inventory became searchable through the enrichment of over 7,000 documents – a powerful lever for reuse and well-informed decision-making.
Stackgini proves its effectiveness by enabling quick, sound decision-making in complex IT projects – for example, in selecting a Contract Lifecycle Management System and an Integrated Management System, where more than a dozen vendors were analyzed and the most relevant solutions identified within three months. Even in smaller initiatives, such as the search for an intelligent scheduling solution, Stackgini delivered solid results within just 30 minutes – leading to high satisfaction among business units. IT is perceived as a driver: a strategic partner and innovation enabler for the business.
Stackgini makes IT governance at GETEC measurably successful – across system and departmental boundaries, with direct impact on the company’s strategic focus areas.
